MEET AND GREET ???

OK, so I am having trouble following the discussion in the other thread about a M&G. My thought is there can be more then one, so I thought that I would try to get some of the details pinned down for a M&G somewhere in the East

First question is about dates. I choose these because of the time frame, I put up all weekends (even those I can't make). If you have another suggestion, respond other, and let us know!

PS- I am not trying to "take over" anything here. I am just trying to organize responses. I hope that I have not offended anybody. If so send me an E-mail, and I will pull this poll instantly. I would never want to offend anyone here.

Any date in Aug. works for me.
I cannot attend the first or third weekend of July.

how to vote

Ok...feeling dumb here. Am I only supposed to vote once? There are several dates that work ie. end of June or any date in Aug., but it only lets me choose 1.

That last weekend in June is the July Forth Weekend. Do you think that we will have trouble finding a place this late in the reservation process?

YES. Any of the summer holiday’s get booked months in advance. At least here in Ohio that is. We do our Memorial Day weekend reservation 6 months in advance if you want to get a certain site. I'd do it earlier, but they do not accept reservations at the parks any sooner where I go. We intentionally do not camp on Labor Day. We camp the following weekend. No one there then.

You might be able to find 1 or 2 scattered camps sites, but not sites next to each other.

A number of people have already made holiday plans. Myself being the first one.

We keep trying and we will make this work.

Thanks

John

So would it be better to try for another date. I am uncomfortable making this decision myself, as that is the date that is currently winning.

Also, I am searching the Central PA area for festivall and such....

If your considering Central PA, there's a couple of campground by Bellefonte, PA - Fort Bellefonte Campground & Bellefonte / State College KOA that you may want to look at.

This location looks like it would be esay access for individuals from West, North, East, and South. Accesable by good roads / expressways from all directions.

Close to State College and Williamsport, PA so there may be some activities to do in the area as well.

Not familure with either campground. Stayed at Fort Bellefonte overnight once. Got in late and left early so we didn't experience the campground much.

We don't have a prefernece on where or when. We'll try and make it where ever and when ever it's schedules. Just thought I would throw my $0.02 in.

Thanks for taking the initiative to try and organize a get together.
Hutch
