2010 Meet and Greet Ideas
At the tail end of last years M&G a couple of us shot around a few ideas for next years bash. I definitely want lots of feed back on this stuff, so here goes.
1. Having a Potluck Supper on Friday and Saturday nights, not just Saturday. Several people brought this up.
2. Since the group tent is the hub of the event, make an information station there with all of the activities listed on a big board instead of printing sheets for everyone. I'll still print a stack of them and leave them for the taking.
3. Kitty and Gary have offered to make site maps available to everyone to help know who is where. These can be added to the information station.
4. After arrival and set-up checking in at the group tent area to receive your name tags, site maps, goodie bags (if applicable), etc... Instead of chasing down everyone when they arrive.
Please, if you have any ideas share them. Ideas from individuals has made the M&G what it is. We can always try new things.
Thanks,
Lowell

I would highly recommend the chinese grab bag... We do it every year, at the diesel rally, that I go to. It's great for everyone, including the kids!

Lowell.....
Not really "ideas", but......
==> Sharon and I will again host an Uno tourney, if it's decided that it's a desirable enough activity.
==> Without offending our gracious hosts at Buttonwood, can we encourage them to place the tent in a better-drained location this year?

The Chinese grab bag sounds like a good idea, we just have to decide on the spending limit.
Frank, the Uno playing was fun last year, and did attract some of those that didn't do the canoe/kayak trip. I'd say it would do nicely for an activity for this year.
Paul, if its ok with everyone else that sounds like a good suggestion to me. Maybe after the silent auction whatever is left (if anything) could be treated like a give or take. Also, thanks for hitting up your vendors for donations, everything helps.

M&G Ideas
If you like, I'll bring tickets and run a 50/50 Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday morning. Three times the fun.

OK, Gary & I will do the Chinese Grab Bag. This is a LOT of fun. No need to be worrying about having to do much physical work. The theme for the Chinese Grab Bag is of course something RV related/useful. The item you bring should cost no more than 15 dollars for the adult game. ANd "if" there is enuff interest we will also do a "kids" version, and that item price limit would be no more than 10 dollars. So, I will be doing a poll to see "how" many kids would want to do this game.
I do not need to know what adults plan to participate, but trust me you all should as this is a real great way to spend time with everyone.
So, how do you play you say???
Well, purchase an RV item for 15 dollars or less, wrap it or bag it so you can't see what it is. Then everyone that brings an item will be given a number. When the game starts, the person with #1 picks an item and opens it to reveal what the item is, then person # 2 picks an item, either from the pile of items OR can choose to take the item from another person. IF a person has their item taken, they then get to pick a new item from the pile. This continues until all items have been selected. THEN at the very end, person # 1 has the chance to keep what they have OR they can choose to take an item from anyone and give their item to that person. And that is the end. OF course after the game, there could also be some out of game swapping. Also, any item can ONLY be "stolen" twice.

Childrens "ChineseGrab Bag"
Please read the post explaining the Chinese grab bag procedures, and let me know "IF" your child(ren) would like to participate in a childs version of the game. We would need a minimum of 5 children willing to participate to make it work. This price limit on a childs item is no more than $10.00.
