Hi everyone! I got a PM about the dates for the Adirondack M&G I thought we had decided on 9/21 & 22....but I see that the dates have been posted for the following weekend!

Anyone who attended last year - do you remember what dates we decided on!

Larry & Wendy need to know ASAP........as they are planning their cross country trip and want to end up with us at the M&G!

I pencilled it originally for the 28th & 29th, but it looks like the 21st and 22nd will be better.

ANOTHER UPDATE! It looks like Loop C will be closed....we may have to move to Loop D and we better reserve soon as sites are already booked and that will be a peak leaf weekend!!!!!

I have booked site #70 on LOOP D for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights for the M&G. We will be checking out on Sunday for the drive home. If there are any scheduling changes I will just change my reservation.

okay, 9/21 and 9/22 in D loop.

This sound right? I do see that D loop is half filled so we need to hit the reserve button like today.

OK folks, I've been in touch with DEC region 6 HQ about this. In the past loop C was always available for reservations after Labor Day, and B and A loops were even opened on occasion. The response from Region 6 HQ is that there has been an error and that has been corrected.

"The sites should be available soon. We advise that you keep on keep on trying on a daily basis. Thank you."

So keep an eye on RA and we should see C loop open for reservations soon.

We're trying to see if we can go as this sounds like fun. I find many sites available on C loop. Once a definite loop is decided upon, I'll likely make reservations. Do you do it with the online feature?

We just booked C-47, the one with utilities, arriving Thursday night and leaving Sunday afternoon. Now we're looking forward to a cool weather camping trip long before it even starts getting warm. Oh well, Groundhogs day is next week.

We have booked site 52, for Thursday thru Sunday. Maybe Monday if it is sunny.

I just reserved C #44, hope it is an OK site. I went back to last yr's thread to see which sites the SOC members had booked last yr. and avoided the ones y'all had chosen in case you want it again. This one was occupied by an "unknown" last year. Friday and Sat. nights.

Tom & Debbie - so glad you can join us for the Adirondack M&G! Sorry about the confusion on the dates and Loop....but it is set now!

Leo and I get "Long Distance Award" every year - we live about 2 miles from Nick's Lake and can roll down the hill and be in our back yard.....so if anyone forgets anything...not to worry....we can always run home for it!

We do plan a lot of activities, but some will kayak, hike, bike and shop, while other stay behind and relax (that's me!) and have a few cocktails.... On Friday night, we all meet at the M&D site, put up some tarps, tables and sit around the fire and enjoy the night......on Saturday nite - we do have a pot luck dinner, everyone brings a dish to pass, you bring your own dinnerware and drinks......we always have way too much food but we manage to eat it!!!!!
