Adirondack M&G attendees - we can now make our reservations for the 2011 M&G....shall I reserve a site for the "meeting site"?
Well some people (maybe Hutch #37 & possibly purplesuebug #44) have made their reservations. Our site is 53 and once everyone agrees I'll book 54 for the M&G site.

We're ok with you reserving our normal M&G site.

Yup - we've reserved # 37.
Had to get the reservation in before some snatched it out from under us - trying to avoid the water front site again this year.

Sounds like a plan to us, too. We'll figure out which site we want to be on this year and reserve it shortly.
Maybe we can get enough SOC folks to reserve early enough to own the whole loop for the weekend! (Best bathroom building in any campground I have ever seen!)

Tom, I really liked the waterfront site, especially when you helped carry the picnic table to the group site and back and had to slosh through the water. If Doug would quit bringing the rain with him it wouldn't be a waterfront site. I'm longing for summer so I can mount the new Voltminder in the coach that John B talked me into getting. Thanks John, that'll be a handy accessory for our style of camping.
Mike

Kathy,
No I haven't reserved yet. The only reservations we've made so far are for our June vacation but we definitely plan on being there. Don't want to miss all the friends, fun and food.

Any chance we can borrow the FD's tanker for a couple of hours? Don't want Mike to lose out on his waterfront site if the rains don't come....

I see site 47's taken, they probably wanted the utilities. Oh look, we got it so we're all set. Coming on the 23rd, Friday and leaving Sunday afternoon the 25th. We paid for Sunday night so we can stay late.
Looking forward to it and meeting newbies. Maybe we will fill up the loop this year.
We also reserved a site in other parks for Memorial day, 4th of July, Labor day and the one weekend at Fish Creek. Today to get a good site you have to have your finger on the mouse 9 months to the day in advance.

We just booked the same site as last year, 52. We are arriving on Thursday the 22nd and leaving on Sunday the 25th. Looking forward to it already, as we gaze outside at the snow.

We just booked Site #45 again and hope that when we arrive on thursday evening we won't be greeted by the same torrential downpour as last year. That was SOME RAIN !!! The site ended up with a stream running past the front door about six feet from the steps. This will be the last camping stop to culminate the Southwest (Utah) trip.
We plan to start the trip on August 19. We are planning to overnight three times on the road (WalMarts) before arriving at Rocky Mountain NP, Moraine Park Campground, on August 22. Four nights there, then onto Dead Horse Point SP for 7 nights to visit Arches NP and Canyounlands NP. Then 4 days in Zion NP, 3 days at Wahweep RV Campground to visit Glen Canyon/Powell , and Antelope Canyon. We have long wanted to see those slot canyons so often pictured as icons of the southwest. Then drive to Bryce Canyon NP for 5 nights and Capitol Reef NP for 4 nights. Then we start the drive back east to Nicks Lake. We will drive for 2 long days the stop in Geneva SP in Ohio to make the last days drive shorter. Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year.
