2008 Adirondack M&G
OK so here it is!
2nd Annual Meet & Greet
September 26, 27, & 28, 2008
Nick's Lake, Old Forge, NY
Loop C or Loop D abutting sites in Loop C
(check out the map you got in your Goodie Bag!
I'll post nine months in advance, so we can lock in our sites!
I'll reserve two sites so we can have a "gathering site" again!
I'll be away the last week of September (again) and hopefully I'll get to spend the day with all of you on Saturday instead of sitting in a classroom!!!!!
Kathy

Kathy:
I would have no problems if we were to have the M & G a week earlier so you and Leo could attend. It's still fall in the Adirondacks and no one has made any reservations yet. How about we take another quick pole and see if September works?

Last weekend in Sept is fine with us. After all, we want you and Leo to make the grueling 2 mile drive to the campground.

It is basically never too late for the Adirondack M&G.
We are a pretty casual bunch up there, and just chat about food arrangements and such in the last 3 or 4 weeks before the M&G.
I think we're trying for the C loop again this year, and if you go to reserveamerica.com and look at the map for Nicks Lake SP, you'll see that some sites in the B and D loops back up to the C loop and would be good for the M&G as well.
This past fall, we did it on the last weekend that the park was open, and the place was full - mostly because of the end of season folks getting their last camping weekend in. This year, we're doing it a week early so I am thinking that there won't be quite the crowd.
So, plan on joining us. We had 9 units last fall and hope to have many more this coming year.

When I make our reservations, should I make one for a "meeting/eating place", like I did last year?
If I do, shall I reserve for Friday ad Saturday? Any thoughts?

I think it would be a good idea to reserve a site for meeting & eating like last year.
I would suggest Fri & Sat.
We could then use the site for
Fri. night camp fire / M&G.
Sat Breakfast, Dinner, & camp fire.
and Sun Breakfast.
Just our $0.02.

I agree with your 2 cents worth!
I'll get on line on Saturday or Sunday and make the reservations.

Hi Paul & Sheri,
That's what I made our reservations for, so if it's not correct you can camp with Mary and I .
