Low Key Hideaway, Cedar Key, Fl

First of all, this is not your regular kinda campground. It is more like a jut in the road to park your RV in. You simply back your unit in as far as you'd like, hook up, and then enjoy the water view. There is room for 5 RVs, not big, but the view is SO worth it.

This is owned/managed by our own SOC, Pat & Cindy Bonish (emam) and they make the trip worthwhile as well. You will not get a more friendly welcome anywhere, nor more hospitable hosts. They have to be the most personable people we have ever met on our travels!!!

And the village of Cedar Key is indeed a small fishing village. Quaint, quiet, nice to walk around in. No big stores, just family businesses being carried on by others who care. There is only 1 small grocery store, so make sure to stop off and restock before you get there.

You will not be sorry you came... Rating for us: 5 on 5.

We're visiting Low Key today and expect it will be great. If you want an amazing taste visit their web site, as well done as any I've ever seen.

Hope the Hideaway didn't blow away with this last storm front. And hope that all SOC'ers in Florida went through the high winds without damage.

That was a rough one. I went to the storage facility on my way home from work to check on the Sunny. It the Fridge Flute Vent was a bit mangled but other than that it looked good and most importantly, was dry inside.

Dry is a good thing. Looks like we'll get another ugly front today. We're in Highlands County, on the Florida Ridge, and it seems that most of the bad stuff went around here. Weather usually does by-pass us. No damage here but hang on. It seems another is to pass through today in a hour or so.

This photo made me think of Pat & Cindys' place in Cedar Keys, you will need to scroll down to photo # 40. But the other prints are great too !!!
