Paul, what size did you use? We were on the road yesterday and watching for semi-trucks with numbers (usually 3" - 4") and traveling toward each other at 60 mph (120 mph) they were very hard to read across the median.
I was also thinking that if we use SOC 1234 format, that may be rather wide. I'm now thinking maybe 4" SOC or logo above 6" numbers may work better, if you had 4" and Steve had trouble.

I used 3" only because the choice at Staples was 3" or 6" for black vinyl. It sounds like 4" would be best. I'll see what I can find before the next trip.

Thanks for the info, Paul. Charlie picked up some sheets of 6" (OfficeMax) and individual 5" (Home Depot).
The 6" seem so big. We'll have to see how the 5" look on the camper. I like the idea of individual ones for easier placement - no need to measure spacing or try to keep level - just butt them up against each other.
We may put 3" on back.

I came across a website where you can order letter/number decals priced by the character. 3.5" is $.85 per character, 4" is $1.00 per character, 4.5" is $1.08 per character, no charge for spaces. Choice of font and color. Default font is Arial Bold.

To list members numerically: - click "Community"
- from dropdown, click "Members List"
- when alphabetical list loads, click "Join Date"
- to see a reversed listing, click "^" next to "Join Date"

Okay...4" Numbers ordered from Staples on line (not in stock in stores) and 3" letters only because I already had them. In stock at Staples.

Ok, so which is it: SUN or SOC? Has a decision been made on that?

There never was a definite decision. Reading back through this post, 13 members voiced their choice (a few more than one).
SOC - 7 (5 as only choice)
LOGO - 6 (2 as only choice)
SUN - 5 (1 as only choice)
S - 1

I thought we were going to disqualify SOC because it was an abbreviation for an extremist political party?

SUN works for me. I have another question; How many people are actually doing this? Is it gonna be worth the effort?

Not me. My T1550 is old, dented, and beige with the stripes peeling off and the wrong style clearance lights. I don't think giant vinyl letters on my tired little Sunline are going to improve that any.

True enough. I used "SUN-" because it's already on the site and associated with our names and members would see and understand what it is. We got some milage on it already but vinyl is easily changed if needed.

Folks.....
Maybe it has been decided....in a way. Nobody's being forced to do anything. There are two clear options available (one with a direct link to each member's "join" #) if a member chooses to post a club-related ID on their RV. And if one chooses to do so...even the letter size is a personal choice.
Most of us aren't slavish about doing everything exactly the same as others, anyway.
Either SOC or SUN will probably be instantly recognizable to active club members.

I wasn't going to post my opinion because I'm not interested in putting any vinyl stickers on the exterior of the Sunline. Once the stickers are put on the exterior surface, it will only be a matter of time until the stickers fade, crack, and start to peel. Then it will be up to using solvents and heat guns to "possibly" remove them without destroying the underlying suface finish, which will likely get ruined anyway from the adhesive.
I will vote that a white sticker on one of the drivers side windows on the Sunline would be far better from the standpoint of visibility (visible much longer while driving past) and infinitely easier to remove down the road with a razor blade.
I will further vote that I would only use the standard Sunline Owner Club logo to avoid confusion with other brands of trailers or political partys. Also using the logo and numbers on the side window would make it easier to remove if the Sunline is sold and it would not look like a rental unit which traditionally has numbers and letters posted at the front and rear.
So, there you have my opinion.

There you have it. No right way, no wrong way. Have fun with it. Now I'm looking for an easy way to print a members list to carry with my log book. Print one page at a time I guess.
