2009 Buttonwood M&G Silent Auction

Silent Auction Description

Once again at this year’s Buttonwood M&G we’ll be conducting a Silent Auction. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will be donated to the Sunline Owners Club to support the operating cost of the Sunline Owners Club web site and forum.

What will be auctioned: The Silent Auction will include items donated by manufacturers and attendees of the M&G.
A list of items donated for the Silent Auction is included at the end of this post. This list will be updated periodically to maintain it as complete as possible.

Any one interested in donating an item to the Silent Auction, please see the Silent Auction Donation post for information on donating an item for the Silent Auction.

Any items not bid on will be returned to (i.e., should be picked up by) the donator at the conclusion of the Silent Auction.

How Does It Work: Each item to be auctioned will be displayed with an associated bid sheet. Items will be displayed in the Tent Area Friday night during the Welcome Social and through the evening to the conclusion of the Silent Auction at 10pm. You can view the items and enter your bid on the bid sheet associated with the specific item any time while the items are being displayed.

When will it be: The Silent Auction will be conducted during Friday night’s Welcome Social with bidding starting at 7pm and concluding at 10pm.

How Do I Bid: Enter your name (real name & forum name), site #, and your bid on the next available line of the bid sheet associated with the item you wish to bid on. Your bid must exceed the amount of the previous bidder listed on the item’s bid sheet.

How Many Items and Times Can I Bid: You can bid on as many items as you wish and as many times as you want. Bidding will conclude at the conclusion of the Silent Auction (i.e., Friday night at 10 pm).

How Do I Know if I’m the winning Bidder: All winners will be announced at the conclusion of the Silent Auction (i.e., Friday night at 10 pm). Winner will be determined by the last and highest bid on the item’s bid sheet.

Do I Need to be Present: No. If you are the winning bidder and are not present at the announcement, we will deliver the item to your site at which time you can pay for the item based on your winning bid.

How do I pay for the Item: You can pay for the item with cash or a personal check. If paying by personal check, the spepcific details on who to make the check out to will be identified at the M&G.

We will be donating the board game "Wewanago Camping" to the silent auction. Below is a discription of the game.

Players navigate the campgrounds by rolling dice and directing their plastic motorboat pieces. Identification squares prompt players to collect camp supply cards, collect money from the bank, select a “Bear Claw” or to pay for a misfortunate roll of the dice.

The object of the game is to be the first player to collect and present camp supplies from A to Z and make it to the finish square. A skilled and somewhat lucky player may collect the necessary camp supplies in one campground alone and head for the finish on “Home Stretch Road.” Too many mishaps and you may be forced to return to the campground you started in. Ages 9 to adult.

I'll be stencilling 2 different signs, at least 5 or so of each. A shelf sitter saying I (heart shape) My Sunline. And thanks to Tom and Mary(akaHutch) suggestion, a 5 X 12 saying "Sunline, The Tradition Lives On."

For the silent auction, the following minor items:

==> (1) Original Que Sewer Hose holder (suitable for spare hose storage)
==> (3) Lockable 1&1/8" cam locks with keys in original packs
- for exterior compartments (new)
==> (1) 2-light 12 v. incandescent ceiling fixure (unused)
==> (1) Bargman basic exterior light w/ both clear and amber lenses. (unused)

... and anything that doesn't sell goes to the bring/take table for Saturday.

I have 3 unopened rolls of "Vintage Trailer" Christmas wrapping paper to add to the auction. Although the trailers are not Sunlines, it looks great under the tree!!! Wrap those special rv related gifts in this unique paper.

Along with the shoe caddy, I also made 1 pair of pockets to hang inside the wardrobe doors. These are great as a "nightstand" to hold flashlight, clock, magazines, pencils, remotes, etc. and everything is always right there when you open the door.
