The Season is Over

Today Marshall finished winterizing the trailer and it is snug for the long sleep until spring. Darn!! We did our last trip November 8-9 to go to a dog show in Salisbury, MD. Lots of show people and lots of non-show people in the campground. I hated to leave.

Look at the Bright Side!

Some of us are counting down the days to opening our season Six weeks from Thursday we'll be headed south for three months. Our T-2363 has been sitting since last April and I swear I heard it whispering to me the other day "Hook me up." Camp on!

Care to share anything about the campground and or location, "Down South", where you will be going ?

I'm looking at a new spot for the winter.

Had been going to Georgia & South Carolina, changes in management/ownership/prices etc, have me looking for a new spot.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks

You don't enjoy winter camping? We may winter camp as soon as the part for the swaybar gets here. We'll carry water with us in milk jugs and use the CGs toilet.

I did the unthinkable and Winterized the 2499 a few days ago!!

This will be the first time I'll have done it since we got it over two years ago.

Cindy and I are sitting in Michigan till after the first of the year when we plan to high-tail it out of here to warmer weather where it'll be more comfortable.

Had to deal with some family issues, and since we were home this close to the holidays, figured we might as well stay through till mid-January.

So I had to do what normal campers have to do each season, and close up the ship for a dormant few months.

OHHH, The Tears!

Hey Pat and Cindy,
Welcome back you vagabonds. Sorry you had to close up shop. It must have been harder for you guys then what we feel when we must winterize. I am sure you guys will rub it in when you head to the warmer ports looking for that one particular harbor! Remember my little secret for taking off the chill of these cold winter nights.
Best regards and have a great holiday season.
Jay

Hey Jay, thanks for the kind thoughts. Yeah, we're already planning for warmer climates, but I'll tell you what, sitting here watching the snow fall on top of a Sunline up on blocks is enough for me to drain that beloved Wax Topped bottle.

Of course, we had a bunch of stuff planned to do on the inside, but as Summer always is, we kept too busy to do any of them. So now we'll be working on the Mod's in the cold.

Oh well, it'll only make those warm shores all that much better!!
