We were going out for our first trip two weekends ago, but as luck would have it, got called into work. So we took advantage of having a couple days off through the week to get the Sunny washed and waxed. We are headed to Gettysburg, Pa this upcoming weekend ( April 9-12). We are planning on going out as much as possible. Hoping to break our 187 night record from last year!

Happy Easter to all you Sunny owners, family and friends!

I know you guys are R-E-A-D-Y to camp. I'm not sure how I'd deal with not being able to camp over the winter...

We went camping over the MLK weekend but have not been out since.

But we'll be camping in Orlando, FL the weekend of April 23rd...

Hi Folks

Well we made it out this weekend. YEH!!!!! The weather here in Central Ohio was a beautiful spring day. H’mm, life is good today! Friday night, Saturday and Sunday where absolutely beautiful and the camping was GREAT!!!

This has been the longest non camping stretch in 6 years. Last we where out was Thanksgiving weekend. The weather was just so rotten here this winter we could not make it out. But it sure helped make up for it this weekend. And we are going out again this coming weekend. Double YEH!!!

Here are some pics of Delaware State Park, 30 minutes north from home. We go here often for a quick get away all year round. Ohio has many nice State Parks. We are blessed that way.

We had the entire loop to ourselves. There was about 5 other campers in this spur and maybe about 20 in the entire park this weekend. This camp is set up with 4 large spurs (50 sites each)and about 5 to 6 loops off the spur. This park has over 200 campsites, a big lake, marina, wild life area and more.

Hope you get a chance to get out soon.

Happy Camping

John

John, great to see you made it out this weekend.

We went back to Maumee Bay State Park outside Toledo. I'm wondering, how the heck did you have your awning out with all that wind?

On Saturday, my 4 year old opened the door of our coach (SOB) and held on tight cause the wind was pulling so hard on the door. It pulled him right out of the trailer and he landed on the ground (4 steps down) after hitting his head on the stairs. He's OK, but that's the strongest wind I've had camping in a long time. No campfire for us. So strong, I rolled all four slideouts in during the day Saturday while we were at the Toledo zoo, and didn't put them back out until nearly 8PM that night.

Hope your weather was better!

Jeff

Jeff

Thanks!. Yes it was good to get out.

The wind, Friday we had some wind. Awning was up the entire time.

Saturday, the wind was only a small to almost no breeze in the wooded areas. The pic did not yet even have my tie downs on that did go on. While I was cooking breakfast the sun was so bright the awning was the shade cover.

Sunday at camp the wind was still only a small gentle breeze at camp. At home it was a little more but nothing like up by Lake Erie. The Lake effect can be “heavy” at times as Cindy’s mom has a cottage on Lake Erie in the area near Silver Creek NY and the winds blows off the lake.

Sorry to hear about your son, hope is he doing OK. Never thought of that happening….

John

John, my son is fine, thanks for asking. Kids are resilient! Next time, he'll be more careful.

Saturday was the really windy day for us. You know how Maumee Bay is though, not a lot of trees/forest and the wind comes roaring across the prarie and right into the side of your camper!

But as they say, a bad day camping is still better than a good day doing something else.

Jeff
