After buying the Sunline, I became aware of the regional nature of RV brands. I think I've got the only Sunline in California. Briefly there two when Norm was passing through. I've since noticed that most all the trailers I see here are manufactured somewhere near here. It's just something I've never noticed before, coming from a long line of Winnebagos, which are everywhere.
So, we've got two westerners so far, only 1,000 miles apart.

Larry,
Your not the "only" Sunline in CA, I know of one more, belongs to a friend of mine that also had an aluminum roof installed when she ordered hers. I'll have to look when I have more time to see where she is located, as I can't remember right off the top of my head.
Got to scoot the school bus needs to roll out of the driveway, sure wish I could retire,
Kitty

Larry,
Your'e not the only Sunline owner in California. There is maybe a couple in the bay area and mine in San Dimas. I had to go all the way to Pennsylvania to get mine. I couldn't turn down the good price.

I figured there had to be a couple others, but I sure never see a Sunny on the roads around here. I had actually never heard of them when I bought mine, it was just a great deal and had a bathroom, which is really rare in such a small trailer. I'm always lucky that way, don't know what I'm getting but it turns out to be the best.
There's a super fossilized Airstream parked near my Sunny (pointed ends) that the owner just started fixing up. I'm watching that one with interest, it's not a lot bigger than mine and I'm wondering if there's any good ideas in it to copy. Actually there's lots of forgotten trailers there. Some really rare, but just one Sunline.

Hi Anne & Tom,
Welcome to the Sunline Club. We all enjoy camping in our Sunlines--sounds like you fit right in.
We're in AB pretty much every summer. I was born in Coaldale and have lots of relatives in the Lethbridge area. Our oldest son and family live just outside High Prairie where we're heading in May. Unfortunately our schedule is locked in as we're already leaving May 3. We'd be happy to meet up with you somewhere if your schedule allows or if there are other western Sunline owners lurking in the background. There must be more than a few others as there used to be a significant dealer in Saskatoon. We briefly toyed with buying our 2499 there--they had a really nice one on the lot and we often travel through there anyway--but they couldn't match the ON price.
We'll be in Lloydminster the night of May 14, then a week in High Prairie, a week on the road to Yellowknife and back to High Prairie the last weekend in May. Then we'll probably be in Lloydminster again on June 1 on our way home.
Henry

Western Sunlines
We're one of the bay area sunlines. Got ours from PA and drove it home too. We were trying to buy one from a dealer in Seattle or locally, but couldn't make it work. Sounds like only Canadians and Californians in the western sunline club???
We love our 2363. Spent 74 days in the last two years in it and hoping for another 30 or so this summer. Our two year old keeps asking when we're going camping again.
We went to Pinnacles National Monument last month for the wild flowers. That's one thing nice about central CA - there really isn't a non-camping season. No winterizing ... Some of you eastern sunlines might want to move out and join us

SIlver Palaces
I received a book that has pictures of the interiors of Airstreams titled Silver Palaces by Donald Keister. The pictures are great.
I considered an Airstream but to my surprise they're not all that light.

Hi Carl - although we have never met, I for one can only say THANK YOU for working at Sunline and providing us with the wonderful coaches we own!
Hope all is going well for you!
Do you ever hear from LaRue? She was the one and only person I ever spoke with at Sunline!

Not to hijack this thread, BUT HI Carl, so nice to have you checking in with us. Man I wish I could have purchased your Eclipse, but I didn't need it at the time you had it for sale. I hope it is in a loving home.
Kitty
PS: Don't be such a stranger around here
