Hi everyone just wanted to drop in and introduce myself . we live in
Opelika alabama and we are retired and love camping ... we usually camp all year but have had a really cold winter for our state this year and have not been since we got home from new year eve trip with friends. we own a 1985 sunline that we bought used about eight years ago and love it . we have made many modifications to our camper to make it more liveable for us . now we are wanting to remove the dinette bench on the side by the doorway and just put a nice comfy chair there . has anyone ever tackled this project ?

Welcome Wanda
Glad to have you with us and hear about your camping experainces.
And we like pics.... So some day if you can piost some pics that would be great.
I can't help you with your table as I do not know that floor plan and year that well. But there is not much one cannot do with there Sunline. So where there is a will, there is a way.
Happy camping
John

We haven't done it but can imagine it. I don't know what size Sunline you have but I believe it would work, particularly since there are just two of you. We have reduced our table size to a 2x2 foot table and provides plenty of space for the two of us to eat.
Your table could be cut in half length wise and this would provide adequate space for two to have a meal at the dinette. This would provide a table that was 3 feet long by 1-1.5 feet wide providing enough space for two to eat sitting on one side of the dinette.
Equally we took a stair tread from Home Depot, stained and urethaned it and made our new smaller table. We used the existing table hardwear.
It turned out real well and has stood up well over theree years. (The table can be seen under other files, Preparing a 1982 Sunline...)
This would leave plenty of room for a small easy chair where the other side of the dinette used to be. We have considered this as well. Partially because we keep our bed (Gaucho couch) as a bed all the time. I admit to spending most of my inside time on the bed and Ginny most of her's at the dinette. The chair is a good idea.
Good luck and I'd be interested in knowing what chair you select.

hi there Norm yes i did look at your pictures of your remodeling and it was very nice . loved it . we took our dining table out already and added a drop leaf table instead and it works wonderful as we can push it to the back or to the side we are not using at the time . we have twin beds in our camper which gives us more room to walk in our bedroom and we took out the table inbetween the beds and added a chair for my hubby to sit and relax and watch his old movies ... and most of my time is spent at the dinette as i love to word search puzzles and i love to read . we also added one of those extendable shower rods in our bathroom that makes such a difference in the space in our shower .

Wanda,
Welcome to the group. We'd love to hear more about your Sunline. If you can tell us the model # that will be heaps of help. OH, good thing your into "modding" your Sunline, as the "modding" ideas in this group ARE NEVER ENDING
Pictures, yeah we are really into seeing pictures. As to where to put them, well it sorta depends on what your posting pictures of, if your trying to fix/repair something it should probably go in "Repairs & Maintenance.
Don't have to worry about posting something in the wrong place, we are a very friendly group, and if it needs to be moved to a better place, not a problem that can/will be done.
Kitty

Hi Wanda
See this post, it might help on how to post pics here on Sunline Owners Club.
How to post a picture on SunlineClub
The basics are, 1st you need to have your pictures hosted on a photo server. Web Shots, Photobucket etc.
Then by using the Img command, see it on the message body icons when typing a post, and the commands links in your pic from your photo server. The photo still resides on your photo acount, it just views here.
Now a key is to use the right picture format from your photo server so all can view it.
It would go like this, I put in quotes so it will not try to post.
""
Make sure there are no spaces, the img command starts it and the /img commnad stops it. Starts with http and ends in .jpg And you need the brackets incaseing the command. You can use the icons across the top of the "post a reply" page or just type the commands.
If you need help, just ask away. There are many here who can help.
For your model, Sunline Fan here I'm sure can help you sort that out. Do you have the VIN number of the TT? I "think" he can decode it from there.
John

You are missing the img command directly before and the closing img comand around the Http address.
See here. I put this in quotes so it will not poat so you can see what you are suppose to have. I also had to add a space to not post
" "
Then it would come out like this.
Also pics can be up to 640 x 480 wide. Try not to go over 640 wide as it scrolls the screen bad and very hard to read.

And you are only getting the thumb nails. I back tracked to your photo bucket. If you open the pic bigger, on the left side of the photobucket screen is a cut and paste IMG code already made for you. Just copy and paste in. Like this. Then you do not need to add the commands.

Hi Wanda,
Welcome to the club!
I copied and pasted the link from your last post into a new tab and was able to see your picture. When the server changeover takes place, it should be easier to post pictures on the site.
You can click on "files" at the top of the page (blue area) then on "brochures". The brochures are listed by year and have layouts of the different models. I'm not the expert (Sunline Fan is) but, from your description, it looks like it is a T2100. This is the link to the brochure, layout for T2100 is on page 10.
http://www.sunlineclub.com/docs/85.pdf
In your first post, you say you like word searches. Me too! Just recently, a Games & Trivia forum was added. There aren't any word searches yet, but you may find something of interest there.
There are also several meet and greets scheduled if you would like to travel a bit.
Again, welcome to SOC.

Once you get the right commands, you can add many many pics at once. Each pic needs the img commands.
In photo bucket, click on the thumbnail pic to make it big. Then directly to the left is a box called, Share this image. It already has the right img commands. Just copy and paste that whole link per pic wanted to post. That is a feature of Photo Bucket
Good luck
John
