1986 t2250
Hello, I am a proud owner of an 1986 sunline t2250. My family was getting to big for our 1982 1550 so we upgraded to a larger trailer. I would like to know if anyone could tell me how the dinnette bed is suppsed to work. The table is held up with two stainless steel poles and can be moved. Our old camper was a booth type setup and that was easy to convert. The bench only has two sides and does not have a ledge to put the table on like our previous model. I would appreciate if anyone could give some insite on this Thank yo. Nick

Hi Nick,
I'm not real sure how the bed goes down. Do you have the L-shape dinette? Maybe there are shorter poles available somewhere that can hold the table at that height.

Hello Jon, Thanks for the info. Yes I do have the L-shaped dinnette. I was thinking of the smaller posts as well and have found them at my local rv store. They will have to order them so I will let you know how it turns out. I still need to fiqure out what size I need. They can order posts from 14-29 inch. I will let you know how It works out. I sure do apprieciate your post and forum. This is our second sunline and we relly love our old one. This year will be our first year in the newer one. We have been reading the forum and it looks like you have had a few sunlines and have alot of experience. I am sure I will have some more questions. Thanks Nick
P.S. Happy Birthday.

Nick,
I'd be glad to answer any questions you may have! There are not many owners here with the older '80's Sunline's, so I'll try to do the best I can with limited resources.
I also had an idea: If you don't want to order the new posts, I'm sure you could probably make up a ledge to hold the table, as long as there is something to hold the table from sliding off. Also, have you checked all the storage cabinets for shorter posts? Maybe the previous owners left them in a hard-to-find spot because they rarely used them.
Jon

Nick,
Another thing: I believe Kitty's '87 1661 had a L-shaped dinette, so maybe she would know how it works?

Hello nkhbtr and welcome to the group. I had a 1987 T1660 with an L shpaed dinette. If you look along the front of the long side of the cushion, you "should" have 2 wooden legs attached to what appears to be a padded 3 or 4 inch wide trim piece. IF you pull on this piece, it should slide out creating the "base" for the cushion to rest on. I am "hopefully" attaching a link to a photo of my dinette and you can see one of the legs and the trim piece that I needed to pull on to extend the base.

Hello Kitty, Thaks for the info. The L-dinnette is very similar to the one you have. Our camper is at the rv shop having some wiring issues taken care of. I will be picking it up tomorrow afternoon and then I will investigate it futher. Thank you again for your response. I will let you all know what I find out. Nick

Hello Kitty. After further investigation we have solved our table situation. Our table works exactly as your picture shows. When we purchased our camper we took allt the pieces and refurbashed them and had them in a storage shed. My wife went to were the shed was and found the pull-out frame and it had legs on it. Thank you all so much for helping us with our Sunline. Nick

Hey Nick,
Glad to have been able to help. That's what so great about this website.
Wanna come replace the electric element in the WH, that "I" burned out while on spring break ? Should be really easy , it's only buried in the corner under the sofa.
Kitty
