If your storing it over the winter, pull the slide in for sure. The camper will take a long winters nap better with the slide in. And your slide seals will last longer. Being exposed to the sun for 4 to 6 moths and not even camping in it does not yield longevity of the seals nor the rest of the slide.
I even think the Lippert slide manual states to bring it in. I remember reading it in some of the Sunline stuff somewhere.
