Ford Towing - Blind Spot Mirrors that work
Fellow Ford Campers
My F350 is so high up in the air that a small car can literately fit on the right side under the bed rail and be totally hidden. Turn your head, look over the bed rail, nothing there and it escapes the little blind spot mirror that comes with the truck. Not good. Driving at night is the worst in street lighted areas.
I have gone thru 3 different type of stick on blind spot mirrors trying to rectify this issue, the last one a 4” stick on sorted of helped but then blocked so much of the main mirror it was a problem.
Found these from a fellow Ford camping buddy and bought myself a pair. OMG…. .what a difference, both towing and none towing. Now when towing I can easily see the blind spots and even better see the TT tires going around a turn to make sure I’m not going to clip a curb or something else.
Here is who makes them. C-Beter

A few pics from sitting in the drivers seat.

The back side of the mirror and how it mounts to the posts. You slide it in and out so it can be used both towing and non towing.
They only seem to be made to fit the Ford 2 posted stock mirrors. Which show up on the Excursions, F250. F350 and F450 at least.
If your looking for a real nice Christmas present and use a Ford to tow with, start asking Santa now. These rank up there with power tongue jack. Once you have it, your not going back….
Hope this helps others
John

Hey John,
WOW, they look great. I've been using the little 2 inch stick on placed in the lower outside corner of the large mirror, but as you say, there are still spots that I find myself reaching for the button to move the mirror, OR moving my head to see what I'm missing.
I'll have to talk real nice to santa, because just today I went out and bought a few tools (Kobalt 1/4 inch drive socket set, an 8 piece plier & wrench set, a 3 d cell 3 watt LED MAGlite and a new bedspread, so I'll have to be REAL nice to get anything else, unless I can get KD to get me the mirrors.

Nelson, Yes, that is the trail I found that Sunline Fan linked. I sent you that in your PM.
Good luck, they do work well.

I like the 08+ Ford factory mirrors, they have a larger "blind spot mirror" on the bottom.

I agree, I've had experience with both and the '08 mirrors do provide a much better view. After you get used to the smaller top one though. I don't like the looks of the '08 mirrors though, so I prefer my factory '05 ones, especially with the chrome covers.
