Great customer service

My '95 Solaris' miniblinds have bottom rail caps with pins to engage brackets when fully lowered. Several are broken. I contacted the manufacturer, Hunter-Douglas, and they sent me replacements free of charge. Howzat?

Any chance you can post a pic of the clips that you get from the manufacture and how to get in touch with them? I'll even buy them.

We break a lot of them. The originals are made from better plastic but still break. The after market ones I can find are clear and of a different more brittle plastic. They break almost looking at them.

I have been 1/2 tempeted to make them myself out of thin gage metal. The ones in the camping stores are like $3 to $4 a set of 2. And in the lumber yard they are like $1.50 to $2.00 for 2. But still both the wrong plastic.

Thanks for an info you can pass along.

John

John, here is the Hunter-Douglas page I used
Customer Support: Hunter Douglas Window Treatments - Parts Request

This is what they look like. The pin is separate. I had to drill a hole into the cap to insert the pin. There is a column inside the cap to accept the pin.

Sorry 'bout the quality,

Teach

Thanks. Mine are made different. The blind has a hole in it and the clip on the wall has the pin.

But it is a lead and they may make my style. I'll follow up.

Thanks again.

John

John, if you use this cap and drill a hole large enough for the pin on your wall bracket, they'd work fine. I think that is why the caps come w/o a hole or installed pin. They can be used three ways: solid end, female or male.
