Door Fell Apart

The door on my 1986 Sunline Saturn fell apart coming home last weekend. I got some old 2 x 4's and plywood and patched it up. Just need to paint the plywood now.

I have heard of them rotting apart, just not cracking and flying apart like yours has. Your plywood fix looks good. If you ever want to replace the plastic door sheet, the lumber yards sell FRP panels you can cut and fit in. However, they would need to be glued the panel to a backerboard of wood, etc. to have the thin FRP sheets to stay in place.

Thanks for reporting this.

John

I painted and caulked around the plywood. Doesn't look too bad I guess.
