Hi arlene,
There are a variety of reasons for what you are seeing. It sort of "depends" on your situation. We need more info to help determine what to look for and how to correct it. I don't want to type out the wrong fix if it is not for the correct problem.
Let's start here with more info,
1. Was your awning fabric changed to a new one in the last few years? And if so, did it work correctly when it was installed and now starting to be an issue?
2. What model and year is your Sunline.
3. Do you know how old the awning fabric is on your camper?
4. When did you first see this starting to happen, about how long ago?
4A. Does this miss-alignment happen now every time you close the awning? Or if it is, not every time, how many opening and closing times does it take to mess up?
5. Does the awning arm being offset "always" happen in the same direction? Your pic shows the awing arm shifted towards the front of the camper.
6. Can you post two pictures of your awning pulled out, just not raised up,
A. Showing the rear awning arm to the edge of the fabric?
B. Showing the front awning arm to the edge of the fabric?
We are looking for how parallel the fabric is to the awning arms. Like this
7. When you roll up the awning, is the pull strap in the middle of the awing or shifted to one side, and if shifted, which side and about how many feet from the center?
Hope this helps
John
