Hi Roger,
Glad this all worked out and thanks for reporting back.
On hard to pull dump valves, this does happen from time to time. I have found that come every spring if I spray liquid silicone on the blade valves and work them back and forth, that lube seems to last all season. This helps lube the rubber seals and makes things slide better. Only use silicone spray as anything with petroleum lube can affect the rubber. If I miss a year or so, then the valve can start setting up as the next year goes on. I do the lube job and it all works again for about another year.
Now, how to get the silicone squirted up onto the blade valve, not sure how your dump valves as setup. For some dump valves the straw on the end of the silicone spray can reach in and blast the blade. Other times I have had to put the spray into a piece of plastic tubing, shove the tube up the dump pipe, then chase with compressed air and it blows it all the way up the tube onto the valve blade. See this post with pics of the process. Since my Sunline has enclosed tanks in a heated compartment, I had to come up with a way to get the lube all the way up a 4 ft or longer dump pipe and to the valve itself. You can tweak the concept to align with what yours looks like.
