Welcome Golden98,

I start with suppling you with what you asked for. The specs we have on a 1989 StarRay. According to the 1989 Sunline brochure, the StarRay models ranged in length from 15' 11" to 35' 4". You did not mention which model number you where looking for. The brochure shows the fresh water tank changing by the camper model, larger fresh tank for larger camper. But, it only lists that a 25 gallon grey tank and 25 gallon black tank a one waste tank size for the StarRay line. Which is sort of usual, as normally a larger camper with bunks while it has more fresh water, it often has larger black and grey water tanks. But maybe not in the StarRay line of 1989. Sunline Fan may know the history more on the tanks sizes back then.

What model is yours? Not sure if you know where the Sunline brochures are, they are located in our files section along with lots of other good info.

In our "FILES" section we have lots of info on Sunlines, you can find a lot of info there and a manual. To get to the FILES section, look at the top of the forum for the words "FILES" that is a clickable tab, click it.

Once in the files section, look for "Brochures" go in there and scroll to 1986 and download a copy of the sales brochure. And have a look around in the other categories.

Any and all questions are welcome. Pictures, also helps show us what you need help with. Posting them with your question really helps if you do not know what something is called. And we can see what it is you are talking about.

If you are going to buy a new black or grey water tank, you should check the volume by the dimensions as Sunline did offer custom upgrades. Your camper when built, may have had a lager then standard waste tanks on custom order, so use the brochure as a guide, but confirm the tank size and volume with measurements before buying one.

Hope this helps,

John

Golden98,

A few questions in case you did not know. The waste tanks are normally made from ABS black plastic. This type of plastic is very repairable, and we have had many members do some major repairs to make a permeant fix to a badly broken ABS tank. The repair cost for materials can be cheap (in some cases less then $20) compared to a new waste tanks. And on the new waste tank, there are drain fittings and tank vent fittings to add to the new tank on top of the raw tank cost.

Is your waste tank totally missing? Is it cracked or have a large hole in it?

If your old tank still exists, even with mega holes in it, it may be repairable and we can help show you how to do solvent weld repair the ABS tank yourself.

If this repair process interests you, please post some pics and we can help provide some ways to possibly fix it. If you need help posting the pics, let us know, we are glad to help with that too.

John

Tell us about your tank and ideally post some pics of the damage if the tank exists.
