I guess I will be the first, we own a 2003 Sunline F281SR
Yup, a fifth wheel Sunline! Found it new for sale in 2004 from a RV dealer in Annapolis, Maryland. It is a wonderful trailer, one large slide. Came with a 10cuft fridge, 15k btu a/c, very nice interior. We fulltimed in it for 6 months while waiting for our Teton to be built. Lot's of fond rv memories. We are keeping it for now for weekend getaways. I am having to replace the subfloor in the bathroom due to a water leak from the Thetford Bravara toilet(never buy another one of those!). The subfloor is OSB(I won't buy another trailer with a OSB floor, either!). I have only seen one other Sunline fiver at a campground. I have very good experiences at the Sunline factory for some warranty work. Really sad the new owners ran the company dry. Herb Testor was great to work with, hope he was able to find a new job, terrific person. The Sunline fivers are great but also very heavy. Our 30 footer weighs almost 12,000lbs loaded up for a vacation, but pulls great behind our F-250.

Hi Capt. Skup,
Welcome to the forum! I've seen you quite a bit over on the Open Roads Forum, though I'm not a member. I believe you are the only the second here with a Sunline 5th, including the older ones and the newer ones. I'm glad to hear that you've decided to keep the Sunline along with the Teton. You own a very rare coach- I'm not sure how many of the newer 5th's were made, but I don't think it was many.
Jon

Hey Capt,,
I was wondering how long it was gonna take you to join our group. Sure glad you did, even though your Sunline will sorta be retired. It has had a wonderful home, and I sure understand wanting to hang on to it, BUT, I also understand how tuff it will be to use and maintain two great COACHES.

Kitty,
The Teton is a good coach, but the Sunline is better .

Talk about never having enough time for the toys. I have to finish replacing that floor in the Sunline(and oh yea, replace the shower curtain that I ruined), get the boat dewinterized, replace the manifolds and risers(5 years in salt water), replace the wheel cylinders and brake master cylinder(who thought putting drum brakes on a boat trailer would be a good idea?), Wash and wax the Sunline, wash the roof and apply another coat of "303", maybe repack the Sunline's wheel bearings and adjust the brakes, wash and wax another 1/4 of the Teton(little bit at a time), get my F-250 ready for sale, entertain my oldest Daughter while she is home from the Army on leave, prepare to take ownership of a '08 F-450 and get a hitch installed in it(I am installing the hitch myself to save couple hundred dollars of labor cost), be a good husband and oh, yea, work a full time job and commute three hours a day! Lord could I ever use about 10 hours a day more of daylight.

Capt,
You just made me tired.
Try to enjoy the 3 day weekend, but I think you will be too busy.

1995 30' 5th
These big old rigs are heavy indeed. So heavy we need to 'lift' the slide from the inside to help it along. In process of removing all carpet to replace with hardwood. Easier to clean, updates it and we're hoping will help the slide 'slide' more freely. We have also added slide in sound prooffing panels around dining booth to create a private space for our 9 year old daughter. She loves it! They make it down into the bed and it's her 'room'. There is still plenty of space with the rear kitchen. Suddenly, it's a 2 bedroom and the panels are styro. so lightweight and store right under the couch! She's named the rig "Suni", we all love her ~ the kid and the rig! Hope you all enjoy your Suni's as much as we are!
