Also, I don't know if it could ever work, but you could either set up your camper and commute to work via the interstate or just come up to spend an evening with us w/out camping. If you can make it work, you are very welcome to join us Friday or Sat. evening. You are about an hr. from Lebanon area ?

Sorry my boss at the motel, would not be happy at all! I'm already taking off 10 days in July - which is unheard of!!!!
We are supposed to take vacations in May and 1st 2 weeks of June, then anytime after Columbus day weekend......till the 1st week of December.....those are about the only non-tourist times of the year!
I really need to retire for good!!!!!!

We camped nearby and took a drive over to the campground. Still some nice spots if anyone wants to join us.
Tom and I kayaked North Hartland Lake, which was amazing. Federal dam at the end and you can go several miles of easy paddle to Quechee Gorge. We saw a bald eagle !! So cool. If anyone wants to kayak, this is a wonderful place to keep in mind. There is a place that rents them in town as well.
So much to do in the area. Long Trail Brewery is not too far away, Simon Peace glass-blowing and restaurant, King Arthur Flour, etc.

Family situation (brother has had stroke) here takes my focus away from Meet and Greet. Still plan on going, but can't really plan the social details. (not sure anyone wanted or expected those for such a small group anyway?)
How about keeping it low key? Friday night sit around fire and chat. Bring your own beverage, chair and something to snack on and share, like chips/dip. Sat. we can have a pot luck of sorts. Bring something to grill if you wish and a dish to share? We really want to get to know everyone and chat about the Sunlines, etc. so I think this could work out OK.
Certainly anyone who wants to organize something more can go for it!!

Very sorry to hear about your brother but am delighted that we can still get together. We were not expecting much more than you have described anyway. Will bring dishes to share.

OK, just a note to say there are still 5 sites left at the park so if anyone wants to join us, do give the park a call soon -802-295-2990. You cannot do online reservations at this point.
Tom and I will bring the firewood as it is not OK to bring in from out of state. We'll wander around and find folks as you settle in. We're scattered around the park, but it is not a huge park so that is fine.
OH ! I won a nifty BBQ grill in a Kraft cheese sweepstakes so we will bring it and anyone can bring things to grill on Saturday night. Sat. is pot luck and whatever you want to grill. I think the large picnic table will hold us all, unless more join in and then we can steal one from another site. Bring your own plates and utensils, a drink, maybe a comfy chair to sit by the fire later? Friday night.. snacks and drinks, bring a chair and some snack and your beverage of choice.
Let me know if you have any questions!

The one thing we might need is something to extend the lean-to in case of rain (let's hope for nice weather!). I know some campers use a tarp to extend from under the eaves, but we've never done that and need "know how" on how to do that effectively. A cover- it could work as well. Pretty sure we could all fit in the lean-to but will need some space for a food table, etc. We have a screen house, but it is useless in rain due to the steep sides.

Let me give that some thought and see what I may be able to provide in tarps, etc.
How wide is the lean-to, do you know?

Oh how I wish we could be there with you all!
However just coming back from a 10 day outing - I don't think any of my bosses would appreciate me being gone again!
