New England Meet and Greet 2014 (new)

We're planning a meet and greet at Quechee State Park for the first weekend of August 2014 (Aug. 1st and/or Aug. 2nd plus any extra days you'd like to book)

Reserve here - Vermont State Parks I'd recommend choosing your site fairly soon as we're getting a late start. You can sort the available sites to find ones that will accommodate larger rigs. Also, you can see photos of individual sites. Let me know if you need guidance.

We can plan a pot luck, outings, etc. as we go along. Post here if you've reserved a site, dates, number of campers, and your make of Sunline or other (welcome SOB's!). If someone can make a sticky thread for that, I'd appreciate it!

I've reserved "Birch" a lean-to which will accommodate a larger trailer as well. If we don't want the expense of an additional site, we can use it for gatherings and rig up EZ ups in conjunction with the lean-to. Bath house is across from this site. We can supply the firewood since we live in VT (FYI there are restrictions on bringing wood from out-of-state).

They are filling fast. Many sites are spoken for already. We just reserved site 48, arriving Fri, Aug 1. My wife Polly and our lab will be there.

Please note: If we like this location we can jump on it for another year and choose sites closer together. It is not a huge park, so we'll all be within walking distance whichever site you choose. Also, the Pine Valley KOA has all the amenities and is only a mile down the road. If anyone needs the full hook-ups that the KOA offers, you may want to reserve there and come join the others at the State Park for social activities.

I will re-post the list as we get new members signed up for sites. Please note when you look at sites at Queeche, there are a lot of sites available but their sorting method is odd. Too much to explain in a post, but look at ALL available sites and choose from the "long list" and be careful not to check the box for handicapped sites, unless you need one, as you will have a very short list! Sites are roomy so if they say a 30' trailer fits, they mean it.

I am in communication with someone that has a 1987ish Sunline slide in camper in a 1972 restored Ford pickup that doesn't have a computer but is interested in the NEM&G.

This is a long story for some other time...campfire maybe.

He lives in Turners Falls, Ma.

If it is alright with everyone, I will send him the info.

Of course !! Tom's got a dandy of a '72 pickup (that ochre color...thus the Mellow Yellow name here) It's a Chevy but I bet he'd love to see this Ford.
