So ya think you'd like to Dismantle a Sunline

Let me tell you, "NO YOU DON'T". It is a LOT of hard work. Talk about a zillion screws, that is putting it mildly. Gary & I have really put a LOT of hours into taking the 299 apart. IF we had not wanted to salvage as much as possible for future use, we could have been done by now. It has been a real learning experience, and confirmed what we already knew "That Sunline built one of the best RVs on the road". How well this poor Sunline survived being flipped onto it's side is amazing. So, when you get the urge to "tear" into your Sunline to do a mod, plan on a fair amount of work to accomplish your project. It's been fun, but I'll sure be glad when we are done.

OK, now what should I get into next ?????? Hum, Sunny 17 ?????????????

I just have to chime in on this one and say that she is absolutely right! I'll bet that we probably have upwards of 20-30lbs of screws already!

The only things left, are the roof and sides. The front entertainment center and cabinets are still there, but have to wait for the siding to come off.

Oh... BTW: The slide floor is now inside the camper. It is FAR too heavy, for me to remove in one piece. Once it does come out, it will go straight into my garage.. Pending a use for it!

John, there was only one small part damaged by water on it. The front-outside corner.
