Is this a Fantastic Vent thermostat?

Near the corner of the wall on the right, is this a Fantastic Vent thermostat?

Kitty said that her 2499 had the FV's thermostat built-in to the T-stat for the heat/AC

H'mm That looks like a 5th wheel bed room. You looking for an upgrade? True it has only been about 2 weeks since the last camper aquisition. It might be time.

The white box on the wall at the right of the sink, my guess is it is a light switch.

Having the Fantastic T stat in the AC/heat T stat? H'mm that is a new one. I "thought" the Kitty T2499 had the heat strip in the AC unit and that may have worked off the T stat. Don't know about Fantastic fan.

A heat strip, a furnace and a AC unit, I can see working in the 1 T start. Technically yes the Fantastic could too, but that is a lot of wire switching.

Do we have confirmation the Kitty FV stat was in the heat/AC unit T stat?

John

Here's the same pic, with the T-stat in question circled in yellow.

"IF" I recall correctly, I only had the one white control panel, that allowed me to select "heat, cool, heat strip, fan". I could be mistaken, but I think it was all on the one panel. I checked my pics, and don't have one of the control panel.

Fan yes, but I believe that was the AC fan. You can just turn on the AC fan and it will cirulate in the camper. Alwasy runs. No heat and no cool.

But you "might" have a special.

Or did it look like this one. There is a switch for heat strip. and the normal switch for manual AC fan.

Now the the wall on the right.... H'mm tricky, the "other" switch on the wall on the right...

OK so what 5er is that pic from?

Yes, I believe that is the wall thermostat that I had. Honestly don't remember how I turned on the Fantastic Fan, but do know that it was temperature operated with built in rain sensor, SO, where was the thermostat ?????? That is a "techy" item, it does not deal with hammers, screw drivers, drills, or saws, so that's probably why I don't remember

Hey Gary,

As promised per our phone conversation, here are some pics of the Fantastic thermostat. I looked through all the pics I had and I don't have any of the one in our fifth wheel (it's located under the kitchen OH cabinets on the wall, so unlikely to be photographed unless that's the objective), so I searched for one online. I actually learned something as a result! Apparently that thermostat/control is actually a remote with two batteries that is handheld and just sits in a cradle there...

Anyway, from your pic that is not what that is, unless it's an old style and used a different thermostat. I found out that this model of Fantastic fan has only been in production since like May of '06 (according to their website), so I guess it probably wouldn't have had it anyway unless it was added.

Here's a pic anyway. We have the vertical white one:

Here's the thermostat I have in my coach, and I assume you probably have in yours too. So it doesn't look like this either:

Jon
