Posting pictures

I know how to post a picture in my message, but it's been awhile since I've posted in the photo galleries and I can't figure out how to do that now. Also, how do I add a picture in my signature?
Thanks,
Rich

Won't that result in a large picture that I will have to repost every time Iwant it to be displayed? I'd like it to come up automatically with my signature.
Thanks,
Rich

You would have to size it small - still post to a site (like photobucket) and insert in your signature (profile) see mine below

2001 Ford F-150 4x4 Super Cab

or

Hope this helps....

Rich,

You can use something like MS Photo Editor (which comes with most PC's) to re-size your pic way down. The one I am currently using is 228 pixels by 129 pixels and is about 11 kb. in size.

You can also use programs like that to crop down your pic so that only the trailer and tow vehicle show. The pic I am currently using was cropped down from one that included the gateway and very large sign to Sampson State Park here in NY.

The pic that I use for my "Steve" is a 2.5 kb gif file with the background set to "transparency" so that it doesn't appear in a white box on the grey background of this forum.

I almost forgot, I still would like to know how to post pictures in the Photo galleries. I see many new pix there, so evidently many of you know how to do it. Can I get some instructions on this?
Thanks,
Rich

Hi Rich,

Sarah posted some instructions on creating an album and posting pictures on the Photos page.
Look at this post to see if it helps.
If you need more help, let me know.
Also keep in mind that the Photo page has a maximum limit on the number of picutres you can post, based on size of the pictures.

Many people here also use Photo Bucket or Web Shots for their pictures. These sites don't have a size limit. But I see from your sig picture that you already use Photbucket.

We have a photo album on the Photo's page but have since switch to photobucket because of the size limitations of the Photo page.

Hope this helps.
Hutch

Thanks Hutch, when I saw the log in request I ignored it since I was already logged in as a member. I didn't realize I had to do it seperately. Yes, I have a Photobucket page, but I thought it would be easier to pull up by other Sunliners if it was posted on the Photos page for this site.
Thanks again,
Rich
