Did some camping this weekend-with pictures

Brian's Webelo den went camping at Camp Cutler NY. It's down between Bristol and Naples NY. For the middle of March we had a beautiful weekend. No rain. Temps got into the 60s during the day. It was below freezing the at night. Here is what we slept in.

The boys worked on some of their badges. They built the fire for us Friday.

We did not need another match for that fire the rest of the weekend.
We did some hiking.

We did have a building to use. We stored the food there. We did all the cooking over the campfire.

It was a fun weekend.

OMG, I haven't heard that in years. I thought it was a local thing in RI (Narragansett Council).

As Bob Hope would say .... Thanks for the Memories ...

Well, I thought it came from the little people toys "Webbles" my kids had when they where little. They had round bottoms and skinny tops so they could wobble and not fall over. So that is now well, over 26 years ago...

Sort of like the really older blow up punching bags with a clown or something on them. They where like 3 to 4 feet tall, a round heavy base and a blow up top. That may be more like 45 years ago...

OK so what are webbles from your end of the country??? LOL

webbles were the same but the expression "Webelos wobble but they don't fall down" was an affectionate expression by staff at Roundtables and summer camp.
