Our T-320SR had a 21 foot A&E awning on it. What's wrong with yours?

What do you want to know about it? Construction wise, it's what the RV industry calls stick and tin- wood studded walls with fiberglass insulation, 1/8" wood paneling inside, and interlocking aluminum siding on the outside.

Without your VIN, I can't tell you exactly where it was made, given the year and model of it. But it was in Southeast Pennsylvania regardless.

Like any RV, they are prone to water leaks from failing to properly maintain the roof. Also, the converter sometimes doesn't last and will need to be replaced eventually. Not much else that I guess it's really notorious for.

Sunline was known for being one of the highest quality RV's made. I can personally attest to how well they are put together! I dis-assembled one, that had been in a rollover accident and couldn't believe how well it was put together!

The most notorious thing about Sunline, isn't about the Sunlines themselves. It's people's lack of proper maintenance. Properly maintained, they should outlast us!

Hi 2000,

Yes Sunline was a very well built camper and by a company that really cared about their customers. Sadly they went out of business in Nov. 2006.

You have a good built unit and everything inside it is repairable. If you are wood working handy you can repair just about anything on it with common wood working tools that is above the main frame.

We talked some about roof water damage. Since you just bought this there is no way of knowing how well the prior owner did the maintenance on the roof. And with the age of yours issues can really come if the caulking is not kept up with. Any hair line crack needs to be addressed when you find them. As if not in time that hair line crack while innocent now, opens up wider. Then water gets in, freezes, then splits wider. Soon it is a hole to the inside of the camper and it is down hill from there.

Checking the caulking and doing the repair is fairly easy. See here

Rubber Roof Caulk - Inspect and repair 101

Oh and while we are on roofs, most are not what they call a walk on roof. Meaning there is no 3/8" OSB board under the rubber to support you walking around. To service the inner areas of the roof, you put down a rug or tarp to not damage the rubber membrane and then use pieces of 1/2" or 5/8" plywood about 2 foot wide x 4 feet long and place over the rafters. The rafters are on 16" centers, just span 2 of them. Then it will hold your weight as you service the rood vents, AC unit etc.

Hope this helps.

John

PS Tires, if you plan on towing the camper, check the tires age. There is a DOT code on the tire that tells the age. If you need help decoding let us know. Again this is a maintenance thing. once tires reach 5 year old on trailer tires there are close to needing to be replaced. They may have have lots of tread left but look for cracks in the treads and the side walls. You may even still be on the original set and they for sure need to be replaced.
