Steve Collins made a comment on 12 Volt dc Rope Lighting and so we wouldnt hijack the original thread I'd post a new one.
I found this awhile back, but have yet to use them or try them to see how well they work. But if anyone is interested in getting a set, please let us know how they work.
At only 1 watt per foot, you could have awning lighting while boondocking. Or just mount them around the inside of the coach for accent lighting. It would look really cool lined around a counter top or mounted along the interior roof line. Just a few ideas.
Just thought I'd pass along a cool link. Also, anytime you're looking for unique items, look at the boat industry, espically the sailing industry. They seem to be 10-15 years ahead of the RV industry. Everytime you see something cool and new at an RV show, it's usually been in a sail boat for a few years already.
I'm not sure why the RV industry cant seem to catch up, maybe because of cost. Anyone who's owned a boat knows it stands for
