$4000 and $10,500 are easier numbers from an accounting perspective.
Don't get me wrong, the numbers you were given are certainly excellent, and if all else fails, agree to that.
As a buyer in the current market, you certainly have a wide variety of options available to you. The dealers are in a really tough situation to honor those requests these days.
I have a funny feeling that 6500 plus the coach wouldn't work with them.
I would offer this:
$3500 for the 1950
Include new power tongue jack on the 195SR
Possibly include new SR topper awning or any new hitching equipment required.
OR
$3700 for the 1950 (this would really come out to be a $3922 value)
I would be worried to push them to $4000 because I think that will be the hot button. Even $3800. The book value they'll see in their book will be $3730 for an average price, so I think the key is to keep it under that. If they accept over that, they have a lot greater chance of losing money on it, which they don't want to do.

Holy buckets, my deposit is down and on Nov. 15 I'll be bringing the 195SR prototype home to Northumberland PA. I'm in half shock. $10,500 and $3500 for mine was the final deal. $7000 for that unit as someone said seems like a steal. I know I would have kicked myself if I would have let it slip away.
Thanks to all who helped me with info, numbers, reassurance, and a plain kick in the ass to make this happen. Hutch if your out there, change my unit to the 195SR for June. Thanks again to all, and I will be keeping in touch.

Dave & Sue, now Lynn and I can spend some quality time at your new camper and feel just like at home. You made a super deal on a great camper. If you have any questions about your new camper, send me a PM. RAY

Dave and Sue
Good luck to you. New campers are allways cool times. You will enjoy your new TT. I was very impressed with Ray and Lynn's last year seeing it at the M & G. WOW. And to see a prototype, even more cool.
Happy camping
John
