New Member 2499

I confess I've been lurking in the forums through the winter, but I found so much useful information that it was always time to go to bed before I got around to registering. I finally resolved to get this done before we go camping again or it would be the same problem next winter. Thanks to all for a great board and I hope I can contribute to some of the threads.

My wife Karen and I purchased a new left over 05 Solaris 2499 in late summer 2006. We were, and still are, so enthused with our choice that we even managed to squeeze in a factory tour the first week in October and met a lot of nice people... just before it all shut down. We travelled over 10,000 miles last year with long trips to Florida and Alberta. This year we're down to one long trip to Washington and Oregon in September.

Our previous travel companion was an Aliner--also made in PA--that criss-crossed the continent several times including the Alaska Hwy. Yes, the 2499 is more comfortable, but it also gets half the mileage.

I read all the posts about photos so hopefully there is a shiny, freshly waxed 2499 in my signature line. If not, I'm going to need some help... with the photo that is.

Henry

The signature looks great! I would love to see some bigger pictures as well. Looks like a really nice coach.

Welcome to the group.

Henry:

You were fortunate to get a factory tour. I always planned to take the tour, but they closed before I got around to it. You snooze, you lose.

Your signature does look good. Your ID brings back some good memories: A friend in high school had a "Henry J - Kaiser" car. That was a unique vehicle.

Welcome to the club.

Henry and Karen

Welcome to the Club. We too have aT2499 at least for the moment. Soon it will find a new home to a nice camper family. We really like that floor plan of the rear living room. So we ended up with an all grown up T2499, the T310SR.

Enjoy your Coach and welcome to the Club. We have a great group here.

John
