Hello from Wheatfeild NY

Our start in camping was the first year of our marriage and started with a low wall surplus army tent that you had to go out side to change your mind. Next picture 2 babies, a wet Samoyed Husky and a used 8’ by12’ leaky tent. ( After 40 plus years we still are friends!). Through the years there has been a succession of tents, a well used 17’ Frolic TT , and a number of home style van conversions. There was about a 10 year off period while we worked on our fix it up river front property. About 5 years ago we started back up with a finished out van that I fixed up with a bed and storage and other amenities. We did a 3800 mile trip to Wyoming, Colorado and places in between. At this point in life we found out that we needed to stand up to put our clothing on. That started our search for a TT. First one was a used 19’ that I bought too quickly, with a leaky front window and a host of problems. It did make a number of trips to Florida and back in one piece. I got tired of the R & R ( run and repair) all the time so we made the move to a new 26’ TT and hoped to avoid problems ( wrong). I had to take the unit to the factory to have a cracked frame fixed (mended) among other things! By now I am about ready for the tent and van again - no wet husky this time. Made the mistake of going to an RV show and found the Sunline trailers. Liked what we saw! Did a lot of soul searching, then purchased a Sunline 2363. Have dragged it to Canada, Florida, Route 66 to California, New England and other points. About 20,000 miles and still keeps on ticking. Only problem is the chair rail contact paper in the bed room keeps coming loose. That’s going as soon as the weather warms up.

Sure was disappointed to find that Sunline had folded. We were planning on a trip to the factory to see them made. The industry lost a top notch peer when Sunline was closed!

See ya in June.
