Just saw this on the evening news. Hope no one is adversely affected.
About 24,000 Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles are being recalled to repair a defective part that could cause sudden and unexpected brake failure. Chrysler says it's not aware of any accidents, but a test vehicle at one of its plants experienced total brake failure. The recall applies to some 2010 Sebring and Dodge Avenger Sedans, Dodge Nitro and Jeep Liberty SUVs, Jeep Commander and Grand Cherokee SUVs, and 2009 and 2010 Ram trucks.
If you have one of these vehicles, you might want to check with your dealer to see if you're affected. Who knows how long it might take to get a notice from Chrysler.
It wouldn't be good to lose brakes at anytime but especially while towing
. I don't know, but would the electric trailer brakes help at all in this situation?
