What kind of brake controller are you using? Is it compatible with the friction sway control?

Am I correct to say some are and some aren't?
My brake control is an old unit that I had in my Aerostar for my previous trailer. I don't have that typical module that I have to go through with the truck, it's a basic set up so I used my old original brake control. As far as "compatible" not sure what you mean. I'm not aware of any issues, tows fine and brakes fine

Oh, I'm sure of that too. I have never towed a trailer at that speed nor do I intend to. I have the proper trailer tires, whereas, I have seen some people use car tires. That's ok for the farm but not for the highway. Plus, I did mention that I only went to that speed as a TEST, nothing more. I average 50, 55, 60 MPH and try not to impede traffic. If I'm causing a back up I usually pull over and let everyone pass

Here's a pic of that lock I mentioned a while ago. Like I said I only recently discovered this hole and wasn't exactly sure it's purpose. I'm not so concerned about any theft issues but if this lock was designed as an added safety bonus, in case the trailer decided to pop off, then I'll definitely get one. I was in the store today and saw their new couplers but the new couplers don't have these holes. These couplers are generic for larger utility trailers, horse and or construction trailers. This is not an RV store but a hardware/surplus store that sell RV type accessories. The store employee was swamped with other customers plus they were sold out of this lock.

At the bottom of my coupler, you'll see a quick pin inserted into a bolt (red arrow) I crafted, so to lock things. I doubt the bolt's tensile strength is very strong but I'm sure it would prevent the latch from moving. However if I am wrong, please free to correct my assumption.
