Searching for long-time owners

Folks on this forum have been really helpful to me as I embark on a new phase of my camping life - the owner of a 1995 Sunline Solaris 2653.

So a question: Are there any long-time 2653 owners out there, especially of the 1995 model year, who would be willing to be a resource for any specific questions I may have about the care, operation and maintenance of my trailer and its systems?

And I may not be the only one out here as these trailers seem to be so well built they tend to be resold several times. (I'm the third owner of mine.)

Oh Sunny day ...

Hi Wright and Penny

While others and I may not have a 95, T2653 there is not a tremendous amount different with the newer or older ones in regards care, operation and maintenance. Yes there may be an appliance that it's model may have changed or been upgraded but even then they all fairly work the same.

While you may find someone with the exact same model and year and theyu can help point to what cabinet the switch is in...., we are all here to help and enjoy reading about your camping experiences. Don’t forget to post the good times too.

When asking about an appliance etc, list the make/model as I know I have looked up many times others makes and models to help see the differences and give them some pointers where to look. Trust me these things are not high tech even thought they may elude us sometimes…... And the older they are, the simpler they are as well. Oh and pics of what you are working on help a million times over. A number of us recognize the issue from the pic verses the words typed.

Good luck camping and post some pics of your adventures.

John

Perzactly! Y'all have been most helpful and I have been sucessfully refitting the trailer. Remember the post about the drain valves? It is an issue such as that (whether they're two-way or not, etc.) that may be model and year specific. Same as with the tank sensors. (My next project)

Good news? Carpet man just called. The Taj gets new carpet today!

First trip is scheduled for August 27. We'll be camping with hook ups and using a dump station for the first time so there may be an adventure or two to tell.

Muchos gracias,
Teach

Sunline Fan is an unknown quantity at this point
Had a '97 2653 for five years...while I don't remember a ton, I'll try to do what I can. I also had a '98 270SR for just shy of a year, which is basically just a 2653 with a couch slide.
