Removing mirrors from walls
1999 Sunline Solaris T 2670
Looking to removing medicine cabinet from over sink in bathroom and replacing it with the mirror that is currently over the toilet. My question is, how is the mirror attached to the wall? Can it be removed without breaking, then remounted over the sink?

I don't know if the mirror is attached the same way as the pictures. The pictures certainly are secured to the wall. Check this thread by Kanyonkitty. Wiggling a butter knife may very well break the mirror, but you might try fishing line as SunlineFan suggested if the mirror is attached the same as the pictures. Good luck.

Thank you! I have already reviewed KANYONKITTY's Thread. I feel you are probably right and mirrors and pictures are attached the same way.
That being said, I will try the fishing line. I think the butter knife might break the mirror and mar the wall. Since I don't fish I will be off to the store to buy fishing line and two sided tape to remount hopefully in a new location.

Broke the mirror!
Follow up to removing interior mirrors. Tried to remove the mirror with fishing line, picture hanging wire, and a butter knife. All these cut thru the foam tape with no problem. Apparently the mirrors being heavier than the pictures, required the need for Sunline to attach the mirror with construction adhesive.
Tried prying with fingers and flat bar. Broke the mirror! Finally I used the flat pry bar with a hammer to separate the mirrors wooden backside from the paneling. The paneling was ruffed up pretty bad where the adhesive was. Salvaged the frame and will have a new mirror glass installed in it. Will probably cover the damaged paneling with a picture!
So folks, if you ever plan to remove or replace an interior mirror be aware!
Like the pictures, the frame has double foam tape around the perimeter. The mirror glass is backed with a piece of paneling that is applied to the wall with construction adhesive, like liquid nails!
Had I known, I would have left things as they were!

Thanks for reporting back. I was thinking of removing one of our mirrors, in our case it have no frame, and the thought of construction adhesive crossed my mind.
We covered it with contact paper 3 years ago that matches the wall and there is a towel rack now over it. After reading your note I think we will just leave it.
Thanks
John

WOW, Thanks for reporting back. I never would of thought of Adhesive being used as well as the two sided tape.

My mirrors are framed. The frame only, is attached with two sided tape. The mirror is set into the frame with a piece of paneling as a backing. The mirror backing(wood backing)is not flush with the back of the frame,it is somewhat recessed. That would require a thicker foam tape for the mirror portion.
The glass company that repaired my mirror suggested that I also use adhesive to mount the mirror. So now my project is complete!

hmmm...interesting. My 1997 T2670 has just the opposite. Mirror over the sink and medicine cabinet over the toilet. Wonder why they changed it?

My guess would be that they changed it b/c, with the med cabinet over the toilet, stuff can end up in the hopper.

Our 2000 T-2653 has the medicine cabinet over the toilet also. Our 1998 T-2363 had the medicine cabinet over the sink. Does make me nervous about something falling in the "hopper" too. We have a new number 1 rule, sorry bad pun, put the lid down. Grandpa's can be so mean at times!!
