2013 Adk M&G Pot-Luck Dinner Sign Up

Hello to everyone attending the 2013 Adk Meet & Greet @ Nick's Lake State Campground.

This post is to inform everyone of Saturday night’s Pot-Luck Dinner and to provide a way for individuals to sign-up / identify (via a reply to this post) what they would like to bring as a dish to pass.

As has been done at other M&Gs, grilling will be by your own choice, and people can sign-up to bring an entrée as their dish to share / pass .

Saturday night’s Pot-Luck Dinner will consist of:
Everyone is to:
> provide their own drinks and place settings,
> bring a dish to pass.
> grilling by their own choice – but at previous M&Gs the shared dishes has provided more than enough food.

Dishes to share / pass may include:
> Entrées
> Salads & Side Dishes
> Desserts

Suggested Serving Size of Shared Dishes: since there’s currently 14 sites, 26 people I would guess that enough to serve 12-15 people should be sufficient.

We have Site 54 as our gathering / eating / camp fire site.

In case of inclement weather – if anyone has a large canopy that they are willing to bring, please let me know. I’ll be brining a 10x10 EZ-up, but that won’t fit everyone. Any help will be greatly appreciated in bringing over tables and setting up tarps most likely early Friday afternoon.

Pot-Luck Dinner Schedule:
> We’ll eat dinner at 6 pm.

If anyone has any food allergies, please let us know.

Also, please make a little sign to let everyone know what is being served.......we do have bear @ Nick's who may like to join in the leftovers if you don't take them back to your camper with you!

Ann will bring plenty of Six Lilies soup - wonderful on a cool evening and not too bad any time. We'll have enough sierra cups for everyone.

I've been kicking this around and I think I will bring some kind of pie/s. Not homemade mind you, but we can pretend.....maybe.

Pies are good and maybe we can bring out some of the ice cream left over from Friday night.........

Chuck I like ice cream BUT it does not like me! I dream of eating ice cream, but if I do I pay the piper the next day!

We don't have a whole lot of desserts so I figured the ice cream would go good!

If I can smoke a brisket before the event I will make a chili from the tip, otherwise something else. I have a 10x10 EZ up with sides, and a 5' table available.

We'll bring some deserts (types to be determined), and an appetizer (also to be determined)

You can take the table from our site if you want (I'll offer the table - you provide the movers

)

I'll also have an EZ-Up with us, but it leaks, so not sure if it will be good if it's raining.
