Winterizing T2753

I am very proud of myself. Today I installed the RV Pump Converter Winterizing Kit in our 2007, T2753. It was quite a job hooking up the fresh water hose to the brass valve. Sunline did not leave extra length of tubing to attach to the valve. It is installed however and the trailer is winterized, now saving me $40, less the cost of 2 gallons of antifreeze, each year. For those who have never home winterized your RV, it is much easier than I imagined. The hard part was making the decision and doing it.

Now, as in the past, it's going to be tough watching our trailer sit and sleep behind our house, waiting for Winter to pass through, and Spring to come again.

John,

Save the empty antifreeze bottles. When you drain in the spring, catch the antifreeze coming out your low point drains and use it again in the fall. More $$ saved. I put the same winterization kit on my T-2499. Took less than two gallons and ten minutes time. The local big name dealer up here wants $75.00 to winterize. What a rip.

John,

Congratulations.

Our pervious Sunline (T-2670) didn't have the winterize kit, I bought one with the intention of installing it, than saw that there was very little room and hose between the fresh water tank and water pump. So I decided to just use a siphon hose attached to the water pump when I winterized each year. So I can understand the effort you went through to install your winterizing kit. I'm sure it wasn't easy, but I'm sure you're happy now you did it, and each year from now on when you winterize.

I was luckily our current Sunline had the winterizing kit installed at the factory. It sure makes it easy doesn’t it

John,

I just went through the same thing as our 289 didn't come with the winterizing kit either. Our pump is under the sink area behind the drawers in a real tight spot. Glad I've only got to do that once and you're right, it makes winterizing a breeze.(Unless you leave the low point drains open and wonder where the antifreeze is going )

Mike

I'm glad I'm not the only one to do that!
