Does anyone know when or if the campgrounds in R.I. will be opening. Haven't been on here for a while and was wondering if I should get back into camping.

RI State parks:

If you have some preferred privately owned campgrounds there, I'd suggest contacting them directly.

Thank you, that's quite informative. I camped in Narragansett for years and was thinking of visiting some friends this summer. Well, that's on hold. Again, thanks for the reply.

I've had trouble finding out much about any campgrounds from Connecticut to maine. I live in mass and have been trying to get a plate for my trailer (1985 1750) but the registry won't allow it " NON ESSENTIAL VEHICLE "no one seems to have any answers..haha people from mass aren't fairing to well anyway we've been banned from the recent opening casinos ...

Found this on reserve America today:
RI STATE CAMPGROUND OPENINGS DELAYED UNTIL JUNE 15
No New Reservations in June.

Due to the COVID-19 emergency and in order to protect the health and safety of visitors and staff, the State of Rhode Island has delayed the opening of the state public campgrounds until at least June 15, 2020 and is not accepting new reservations at this time.

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management will continue to carefully monitor the COVID-19 emergency and provide updates as they relate to our facilities. For additional information or updates on Rhode Island state parks and campgrounds, please visit Rhode Island State Parks

A quick look around the park showed scattered 2 and 3 night vacancies.

They are not accepting new reservations at this time. My July reservation has not been cancelled yet.
