Hi Mel,
In case you haven't heard, Sunline has closed its doors as of November 15th, 2006. There is a small chance of it re-opening in the future, but I wouldn't count on that. I have three manuals, an '86 and two '94's. I'd be happy to scan anything you need from them, but hopefully someone with a manual closer to '99 can help.
Let me know if you end up needing anything,
Jon

Hi Jon,
Thanks for the come back, no i didn't know that they had closed, but as i'm new at all this it don't surprise me. thanks for the offer, maybe i'll have to take you up on it. If sunline has closed, how does anyone get parts for their campers ? probable i should have bought another make.
Thanks

Hi Mel,
As of right now, no one can get anything from the factory. Everyone is just waiting for some sort of announcement that will hopefully announce a liquidation sale, so Sunline owners can buy up the leftover parts they need. Here's the good news: Most of the parts used on Sunline's are also used by other manufacturers, so they are available somewhere. Also, if you have something go wrong, just post it on this forum and there is a good chance that someone can help steer you in the right direction. Dealers can be helpful, but as the units age, they'll forget about what parts Sunline used and/or not have the part in stock any longer, as is the case with many older RV parts.
By the way, you bought one of the best RV's out there, and though you may regret it now, I'm sure you won't in the long run. Sunline's are known for their quality construction, so the chances of you having something go majorly wrong is pretty slim. You are in a unique position because your unit is, and has been, out of warranty. Most of the people on this forum were affected with having the warranties voided on their new units, but yours has been used and hopefully has its kinks worked out already. Now you'll just have age issues, which can be prevented/postponed with proper maintenance. This forum can probably answer any questions you have regarding cleaning, etc.
Good luck finding some owners manuals,
Jon

Hi Jon
The sunline that we bought is in very good condition, and were very pleased,. who ever had it really took care of it. i guess we are fortunate not to have bought a new unit, because of the warranty issue. the only other item we are looking for is new decals for the sides, any suggestions? well thanks jon for your reply, you have been a big help. have a great day.
Mel

Hi Mel,
What decals are you looking for on the sides? Do you want striping or the Solaris logo over the striping? Either way, you'd have to wait and see if something happens with the factory. I have some of what you need, but not enough to do the whole side. I do have a scan of the striping, so if you know a place that does logo work and could make you some, send me a PM with your E-mail address and I'd be glad to send it to you. Also, I have a picture of the front/rear logo, so I could send that too, if you want.
Jon

Hi Mel,
I actually have the smaller version of that logo, which was used from '97-'98. I will scan that in the future, along with owner's manual contents, as soon as I am done with all of the brochures (the ones you see in the "files" section of this site).
BTW, I had a couple of those '99 Solaris side logos on my 2363. I'll warn you that if you can get some of those, they won't stick very well due to the old adhesive. I went through a couple on the ODS (opposing door side) because the wind from passing traffic on a two-lane road at 60 started peeling them off. I had to pull over and remove it before it fell all the way off, but it had been so rolled up that I couldn't use it easily anymore. These were stuck to aluminum, but I realize yours are over striping. I have a feeling that if you tried to remove the current ones, the striping would come with it. I'd suggest striping off the adhesive prior to putting it on and using a new adhesive or silicone. I used silicone for the replacements- just a thin layer on it will do.
Jon

Hi Jon
Thanks for helping us with all this, it really is nice to have an rv site where anyone can go to for help and advice. we will have to look at the file section that you are working on. I'm quite illiterate when it comes to computers, but my wife will help me on that.
thanks
Mel
