Hi Jim,
I forget which part of Ohio you are from. If you are up by Lake Erie, well your choices may be more limited due to the lake effect unless you want to drive a little south.
We go all year round down here by Columbus. We have some local Ohio State parks that are open all year round. Some with heated shower houses even. How often we go does slow down. On average once a month some times 2. There has to be no snow, (not towing in the snow), day time temps at least above freezing and ideally dry. Pending the year it may take all month for that combo to show up on a weekend.... But it is a good escape to get out. We have spent many New Years Eve's in the CG. Might dip down to 19 at night but that is not a problem.
There are some of us here who do winter camping in our Sunnies, have to change a few things, but it sure beats waiting until April.... There are bonus's too? No bugs, no crowds and many times an entire SP to yourself.
Happy camping
John
