I'm here. Steve's in San Jose...again. Nice moon shot Kitty. I noticed how full it was last night when I took Pepper for a walk. Our leaves are getting pretty nice around here too. I just love October

Thanks Pam, but I really needed a much better camera to do the moon justice. It was just so gleaming bright tonight
I wish I could go camping, even if it's just local.

Kathy,
I'm like you, Sunny sits in his port and I get to look at him. But, I do need to get myself out there with some tools and do some mods

One out there
Our Sunny is on the move. We're now near Mt. Rushmore in SD. In the mornign we're on our way to Devils Tower in Wyoming. There is so much to see in this country I can't ever imagine stopping.

Mods? Oh do tell...what are the plans?
Here's what we've been up to...
We just removed some drawers in favor of just using the door to cover the storage hole. The drawers are convenient but a huge waste of space.
(idea stolen from Hutch)
I made curtains for the bedroom and 2 of the living room windows. (idea stolen from you Kitty)
We modified the sofa. Steve took out the sagging cheesy board that was under the sofa and installed a piece of plywood. Then he removed the harware from the sofa and installed the sofa seat directly on the plywood, and slid the sofa back behind that. The sofa seat is now wide enough to actually sit or lay on comfortably. And if someone wants to sleep there we'll just lift out the sofa back and sit it on the floor. We have some pillows we can stuff into the remaining space, so the sleeping will actually be improved too (DD tells me the only thing worse than sleeping on the jacknife sofa was sleeping on the dinette bed) (idea sort of stolen from Janalee)

no camping here either
Spent 2 weeks on vacation in Myrtle Beach and Virginia in Sep-Oct but now the trailer is ready for storage. We never have time to go camping after September. Been beautiful weather here near Pittsburgh for camping though. Trees are starting to look colorful.

We are cleaning, organizing & fixing a few small items in our camper... outside compartment door catch broke, so we bought a few spares, in case this is a continuing problem. Also got some of that putty tape to seal the repair properly.
We've scheduled the systems check and body repairs for the first weekend in November. There's a small (3 inch) separation on the front bottom corner (doorside) where the previous owner whacked a table and pulled the extrusion molding loose and separated the fiberglass panel from the camper. Our RV tech friends at Team RV in Albany, Georgia (who were great in maintaining our popup) will be performing all the servicing.
We have a trip scheduled for the last weekend in October to a County Park campground near Tallahassee on Lake Talquin... our North Florida group's Annual Fall Bash. We won't need the camper again until Thanksgiving weekend... our OTHER group's getting together to celebrate one the member's 50th Birthday up at High Falls State Park near Jackson, Georgia. This gives our RV friends nearly a whole month to get the work done.
Our new tires SHOULD be in by the end of the month. I already received the 2 new rims to replace the ones damaged by our curb incident.
We have received ALL our parts to rehab the Hensley. I have decided NOT to repaint the hitchhead that bright orange color... they use a Allis-Chalmers orange tractor color and after I deal with the rust, I think I'll just use a nice Rustoleum black.
