A 2499 travel question
Do any of you 2499 er's leave the folding table up when you travel. If so has it been a problem in any way?
Thanks
Bob

Hi Bob,
Mine traveled lots of miles in the up position with the single leg. I have however changed from the single leg, but not due to a travel problem, I wanted a less wobbly table while I was using it. My dealer ordered me a new leg:
This leg is from a Surveyor trailer, so if you have a local dealer, go look on his lot, and if you want a stable table, get him to order a new leg for your table. It was about 24 bux, and my dealer delivered it (actually he was visiting Harpers Ferry so I met him there to get it)

We always traveled with it down. Just did as we had more room that way.
I must say, I do like Kitty’s new table leg. The weeble wobble of ours is in need of de-wobbling.
Good to see you posting again.

We always travel with our table in the upright position. The only problem we have had was with the extra leaf in it tended to move apart a little, so we added another hook underneath to the extra leaf (the same as is on the part of the table attached to the wall) to latch the original table latch onto. This seems to work fine.

Our 2453 is the exact reverse of your 2499 - bedroom in the back and couch, table, and chair in the front. We drop the table when travelling only because we need that space to carry some folding chairs and tables.

Well thank you everyone for the nice responce. I really want to leave it up too, and now it seems like there is no real problem when doing so for many of you. My DW would want to have a nice vase of flowers on it to, but that will have to wait until we get setup for obvious reasons.

I dont think we've ever put ours down, unless we're working inside the camper and need some extra space

Kitty,
I was looking at my table this evening and it has a leg setup exactly like yours. Possibly Sunline changed their design by the time ours was built. It does seem steady too.

We travel with the table both ways. It just happens on how much crap we bring along. ie; DW's jewelry making supplies. We rarely use the extension unless we are trapped inside due to weather.

Bob,
Glad you have the "stable" table leg. That single leg was too wobbly for me. On my table pic, you can just barely see some blue, that is a large quilted pillow case that I made to store the table extension leaf in. It does a great job protecting the leaf.
