The engineer's smore
I don't get into the smores that leave more of it on you than in you. So here's what I do. Everyone else just laughs or shakes their head but I think it works pretty slick.
Use the roasting stick to predrill the graham crackers and chocolate. Go easy, don't crack the components.
Put on the bottom graham cracker, chocoate, then slide on a marshmallow, then put on the top graham cracker.
Do a slow even roast, turn the marshmallow just brown but with a melted core and just soften the chocolate. I don't like burnt marshmallows.
Slide all the pieces together on the stick and squeeze into one neat package. If it needs more heat, give it a little more and squeeze again. Remove from the stick (the bottom cracker scrapes the marshmallow core off the stick pretty good), and eat it and you make almost no mess.
