"can be pulled with car or truck" and "...weighs 1700 lbs".
I find both of those statements very hard to believe!

Not sure on the weights, Sunline Fan will have to comment on that one, but you can use a converter dolly to tow a 5th wheel with a vehicle not set up with a 5th wheel hitch, although I wouldn't do it.

Yeah, that made it to my Facebook status last Saturday too...
Maybe they're thinking it would work with a certain VW???
Sadly, with a gooseneck like that, it can be pulled by a car, but not easily. It would require a car/truck with a bit of a reverse-drop ball mount, and then still you risk the jacks could hit on bumps in the road.
BTW, an '86 F-2353 has what I believe is a dry weight of 3945 and a GAWR of 5440 according to the brochure. According to the '87 brochure, the pin weight is 785...put a hurt on a car!

I sure could have used one of these contraptions this weekend! It would have saved me the embarrassment of having to get Sunny 17 towed by TWO Dodges!!

Aw come on now Gary, and I was just going to order these for my Dodges:
Seriously, I hope the problem with your truck isn't too hard or expensive to fix.
Good Luck,
Mack

One thing my son noticed towing Sunny home was that his "Dodge" had to "WORK" to tow it, wasn't like he's use to with only towing his ski boat. His digital overhead "Lie-O-Meter" was read 14.6 mpg while towing on the interstate.
But, OH that NOISY loud muffler, my head rumbled all evening. But, I sure was glad that he was willing to come up and get Sunny home for us.
