I too have the same year. My model had a rear goucho on the bathroom side before it was remodeled with rear twin beds. I love my vintage Sunline.

Yours camperlloyd appears to be the 17.5 RD Model. We purchased one new at a Camper show in 82 that had a sitting sofa in the back with the bunk above, the 17.5 FD. To our surprise a month later, we realized that we needed a third bed in back when my wife's stomach virus turned out to be a pregnancy! We brought it down to the Dealer and traded it for the 21 RB we have now. I built a crib type railing for the rear top bunk and we put all three children to bed back there. It worked out better because the RB fridge is up front (instead of the rear installation) so when we closed the accordion door at night we still had access to it. My wife and I slept on the dinette back then. Other than the fridge location (there is a dual closet in my 21 were your fridge is,) extra rear couch (our FD had a single rear couch along the full back of the unit, our RB has one on each side) front full Dinette and four burner range vs. three, the two units were identical.

i really like the idea of taking the propane tanks off and now i have my hubby outside taking our tanks off since we havent used them in a couple of years anyway . so now we will be total electric since my hubby switched our hot water heater to electric already and i use a electric oven and electric eyes to cook on . so now we are headed to lowes to get a storage box to put where the tanks were . I love getting ideas from the Sunline members ...

Yes, we switched to all electric a few years ago. We grille most meals outside and carry a small toaster oven and electric fry pan. Our Air Conditioner has the optional heat strip and we also installed the electric option water heater. Because we never camp self contained, we also removed the onboard water storage tank - giving us additional space under the side bunk. Thanks for your comment!
