Ok, I called a local RV dealer today looking for 800# bars new or used, they did not have any in stock and we got to talking and I explained to him what I was experiencing told him the it hobby horses a bit at higher speeds, explained to him that the bars are a little heavy for my trailer. He tells me he's never heard of that, the lowest rated bars they install on any camper is 1,000#, then he suggested I go down a link (I have 5 hanging now) said to try 4 or 3. So now I will call a few more places, if no one has them etrailer.com has the best prices. Nothing on Craigslist, and ebay is a bit higher in price. My question is, is the rocking/ hobby horse part of the bars being too stiff? Thanks in advance, Mike.

I just experienced that same thing going down to Florida in Nov...discovered my DH had filled the water tank FULL instead of the 8" measurement I had shown him (he has dementia and I should have checked after him)...my water tank is in the rear behind the wheels. Took lots of weight off the tongue. After I discovered it,and drained most of it, it was just fine. Could this have contributed to your problem? I just carry enough water for flushing until we get to our first campground with h/ups...usually 2-3 nights. Drinking water is carried in a gallon milk bottle. Janalee

Never used the fresh water tank, ours is under the bed in the rear as well but have never filled it.

Mike,
The worst porpoising we had with our 2363 was with the original bars that came with the trailer; they were rated at #1000. Now this took place the very first time we towed it and we had never towed anything before. We were able to counter this a little by changing the links from 4 to 5 but it wasn't until we got the #800 bars that the porpoising became almost unnoticeable. We recently changed from the OEM 'P' tires to Michelin LT/X2 'E' tires, which, on advice from other SOCers who have them, we have pressured to 60 psi all around. No porpoising at all. We'd definitely say that the #800 bars helped but we also had JohnB help us with the set-up to maximize what we have. Maybe up the PSI to 55 or 60 and test it to see if that makes a difference?

Ok, update, getting the 800# bars for the 2363, my question is should I re setup my sway control? It may be an obvious question, but the bars should be identical on length but the only reason I ask is will it have more "sag" then the 1200# bars and would that throw off the adjustment? Thanks in advance, Mike.

Being the bars are forged they are not identical. One thing mark your bars L left, R right and always use them in that position. That way they ware in better.
The only way to tell if the adjustment is correct is to hitch up and see how the cams are centering up after driving straight for 100 ft. You may need to make a slight adjustment.
With mine just raising or dropping a chain link changes mine a tad.

Ok, I have my current bars marked as well, I will probably just loosen up the cam arms and set it up again just to be on the safe side, thanks for your help, Mike.
