Welcome Holli!
Congrats on your new Sunny.
Good times ahead.
From the outside color scheme of the decals, it is hard for me to see match up the top decal strip on the camper to the brochure. It is for sure not a 1984 nor a 1986, so 1985 which was their 20th anniversary edition is highly likely. That model in the tan camper went until 1990 then the campers turned light gray. The cushions in side are hard to know if they are original. The pattern in the brochure is close to the 1985, but again it is hard to tell for sure.
If you can look and see what the 8th digit of the VIN number is, starting from the left, it can help shed some light on the model year. Tell use that 8th digit and we can see what that says. Your Ohio title would also have the year.
I agree, the model lines up with a T-1661.
The gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) is listed on a 1985 T-1661 as 2,630#. That means, the max weight it can weigh and not be over the stated rating. It does not stop you from putting more stuff in then that, but the axles/tires etc. are sized to that limit.
The camper empty the day it left Sunline with no spare tire, LP gas in the tank, no battery or other added options was 2,000#. That allowed 630 pounds of cargo to the added to the camper including the battery, Lp gas in the tank, a spare tire is you have one and any other added options a dealer of prior owner may have added. Again the way the camper was originally built.
I noticed a prior owner redid some wall board, that "might be" be heavier then the original wall board which would reduce the available cargo that can be added up to the 2,630#. The only real way to know what it weighs at this point, it to take the camper on a truck scale to know for sure.
And welcome to a fellow Ohioan! We are in Delaware county, north west of the city of Delaware out in the midst of corn and soybean fields.
We do camp in many of the Ohio state parks, maybe we might see you some time if your camp at them.
This is the place for all Sunline camper, camping, towing, whatever is needed questions to help with your Sunline. We have a lot already posted, but feel free to ask any and all questions. We will try and help.
Have fun this weekend. And we do like pics! Any pics of Sunlines in action, or whatever they are doing!
Hope this helps
John
