As always I see this after my 1st posting... whoops.


I am the latest owner of a 1985 T-1750 (I think) - It's a bit of a fixer-upper, but have high hopes for it.

Just getting to know it really. The big item right now (as I'm sure is the case for all older units) is water. I have a few wet spots - I expect step one will be an unconditional re-caulking of the windows, and then a through inspection of the roof.

I know these sorts of windows from Pickup Truck Bed Caps, and the sealant used on the mounting flanges goes bad simply from age on the truck caps, so I expect it's the same deal with the TT as well... There's a bit of panel rot in the "Hampers", but otherwise all I see is stains, so I don't think it's gotten TOO advanced yet. Especially since I'm not a "It MUST look perfect" kind of guy.

Anyway, I'm hoping to find others who have or still do own one of these, either an 85 or thereabouts. Maybe pick their brains, hear the war stories, et. al.
