Welcome Frank!
Congrats on your Sunny!
Yes, a 1980 16' RB would have a tandem axle due to the weight capacity. The 1980 brochure lists Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) at 4,200#, and in the Sunline world, they would put a tandem axle setup to support that weight. The 16' was the tipping point from single axle to tandem back then.
As for info, the sales brochure in our FILES section has the specs of it. In case you have not yet found the FILES section here on the forum;
To get to the files section, you need to be logged into the forum. At the top of the forum are tabs, look for the word "FILES" click it.
Once into the files section, scroll down to the "Sunline Brochures" section. Go in there and find a sale brochure for the year camper you are looking at and down load a copy.
There is a lot of other good info in the FILES section also.
As far as pics of your model camper, there area are a few pics of that vintage camper in the sale brochure. The colors, graphics, doors, windows, basic looks are the same for all floor plans, just there may not be a pic of your exact model/floor plan.
Another club member may have some pics who has one. And possibly member Sunline Fan, he is the our guru of the older Sunlines and history.
Have fun with your camper. We are here for any questions and look forward to seeing and hearing about your Sunline adventures. We like pics!
Hope this helps
John
